Congratulations to the artists in the Fuquay Varina Community Arts Festival! I was very excited to see our artwork along side of artwork from other area schools:
Here are some updates from the classroom: Kindergarten discussed patterns and looked at beautiful Nigerian cloths to inspire our own stamp patterns. Ms. Wall's class completed their landscapes made from recycled materials and spent some time reflecting on their artwork and artwork of their classmates: Here is one example of the final project: Some of the second graders have looked at artwork of Joan Miro (pictured below) and have begun their own oil pastel painting of abstract lines and shapes.
